Now hear me out: I finished the Virginia section in 19 days. That’s 550 miles and quarter of the entire trail. Those days included my biggest, and many of my biggest vertical gain days. Over those 19 days, I stopped in town five times to resupply/relax/recharge. I slowed my roll to wait for packages that never came. I made hot cocoa in shelters to wait out storms. I smoked weed every day, several times a day. Countless blue blazes to shelters and outcrops. Patiently waiting for sunrises and sunsets. Hot meals everyday. Sipping coffee by creeks every morning. All while carrying 20-30lbs on my back with no one to rub my feet at night and cater to my every need.. Now I’m not gonna say that I could…. but I certainly won’t say that I could not. And @altra, don’t come knocking when it’s all said and through. It’s now or never.
