Not sure why I was thinking this would be a trail run. After the first 7 mile uphill slog (of which I ran less than half the distance) I chickened out when we encountered a large section of ice and snow right at the Continental Divide. So instead of making it the High Lonesome Loop it became the High Lonesome Out & Back. At that point the legs were also no longer cooperating so instead of attempting to run the downhill I chose to just hike it out, which was so much more enjoyable, so I guess in the end I still won 🤟
