Day 1 went pretty well. Didn’t sleep great in the cold at Judge Magney State Park but it wasn’t bad. Cold morning. My hands got to the point where they hurt, then went numb and then hurt again from being so cold. The beginning of the trail was fairly overgrown and with the morning dew it was wet. My quads wanted to start cramping around 5 miles but never actually did cramp. A couple little navigation issues during the day but nothing that wasn’t quick to solve. By evening I was getting really tired and stopped a few miles short of my intended campsite. Stopped at Woods Creek.
