Good day out on the trails with Joe and Mark. First time up the back side of Wildcat following the other two up the XC ski trail. It was soft, but not too bad. Once at the summit, I made the solo journey over to A and back while the others took a quick lap of the alpine trails before beginning their descent. 

Began my descent solo knowing I had some catching up to do and pushed as much as I could without totally destroying the trail. The ungroomed nordic track is pretty much a monorail already, and even at that I would probably sink about an inch per step with my snowshoes on, but just a little off to one side and I was going up to knee deep. After regrouping and hitting the groomed trails, they took off as to be expected, and I gave a pretty hard effort for the final mile. Safe to say these are not running snowshoes as I barely broke 9 minutes with over 400' of decent and a pretty high heartrate. All in all, good day on the trails and now only 1 more peak to summit in March.
