Power company employee turned me around, saying the road is off limits and there have been arrests for violations (and insinuated he’d report me if I didn’t turn around). He swore there was clear signage, and I swore I didn’t see any. Took a pic of the signs on my way out, which don’t make it clear to me the road is off limits. There is a pedestrian route around the left of the fence that I didn’t get in the picture. Considered taking a different, less direct route, but my left big toe has been painful, swollen, and bruised since Haleakala so decided just to take more rest and recovery instead. Don’t remember what I did to my toe! 😂😂
