Couch to 24 hour race... what could go wrong?!?  Very happy with this, especially since I had basically no training going into it.  Doing a handful of runs in May (none longer than 11 miles) does not prep you for an ultra, in case you were wondering 😂
I had a free entry, so I figured why not go see what happens. (I was actually entered in the 48 hour, but I had enough after 24).  

New distance PR for me.  Hip cooperated the whole time,  but running 20 miles in pouring rain did a number on my feet. And holy f'n chaffing.  😳 Despite all that I was still "jogging" up until my last loop (minus a bunch of walking loops from the mid 30-47 mile mark).

The BURCS folks put on great events! That said, I'm pretty sure I never have to do that again.
