Afternoon Hike

11 up, then 11 down

Longest “run” this year by 8!miles. Had a little lunch at the summit house. 
The problem with 11 up and then 11 down is that my calves started to cramp and then my quads. Was so looking forward to going down but got  on the struggle bus 🚌 around mile 17 and then the wheels fell off and I had to walk from 19 and change, with some muscles seizing nearly every switchback. To  make matters worse, my AirPods died after a full charge. 
Followed it up with a dip in the lake.
