I'm learning that buck Mountain Trail Angel is my highest calling. On my run back out, I encountered this gentleman, oscar, moving very gingerly, quite dehydrated, with about 2 miles to go to the trailhead.

So I finished my run, headed to Stewart's to pick up some Gatorade for him, and ran back in to meet him with about 3/4 of a mile to go. He was very surprised to see that I had run back in, and extremely grateful for the Gatorade which he downed quickly.

We walked back out slowly, well we exchanged life stories. It was a wonderful moment of connection. And he was especially struck by this morning's Gospel reading at his church, which was about the good samaritan. And although I don't partake in the church part, I did find myself again feeling like I was where I was supposed to be.
