Great ride with a strong group of 10ish riders. Had a little cramping in the middle but got it handled with more salt and pickle juice. Dropped from the group around halfway but got with another strong group almost right away. Lost the group again leaving the 80 mile stop due to gravel in my cleat preventing clip-in. But that same second group bailed me out. Riding smooth but after I missed a right turn had to hustle up a climb to get back with them. Somehow my legs let me do that without tightening up. Then they ran out of steam a bit and my group appeared in the distance a ways up the road on a hilltop and I raced a descent and caught them at a red light as it changed to green. It was a bit of a miracle, and so Kai Luigend  Javier Diaz -  Flow Formulas Starlight and I with a couple other original riders from our ten rider group finished strong together. Iced coffee from VietVelo at the last rest stop really helped too! 5:47 for 100 miles. Cold plunge after the ride was exquisite - it felt really good to go in and it felt really good to get out after 3 minutes. Very centering and relaxing.
