OBX is hands down one of my all time favorite places for running. The entire series of islands are protected National Seashores so you get tons of pristine shorelines and wild beach environments with tons of areas to go off the roads and explore these beautiful places. Sunrise and sunset route potential is outrageously easy to find spectacular spots to get the perfect views.
