Timberline Trail Ultra - 40 Miles of Education

Didn’t hit the sub-10hr goal this time. Didn’t Win the clock, but learned a ton!
I think this was my first 50k ultrarun (or ultrawalk?)
Was a great lesson - long, tough, and full of “don’t do that again” moments.

Things I learned:
– No more only dry food for ultras - those apple-cinnamon bars were basically drywall 🤮. 
– Never test brand-new shoes on race day - felt almost like running in heels (don’t ask how I know that 😂).
– Need a lot more downhill practice - probably the weakest part of my run, and where the real time slipped away.

A long day, a few mistakes, but tons of lessons. Revenge run is already on my mind - until the next year 💪
