High in the Lost Creek Wilderness, a moose was napping in the trees. He was startled by 2 passing hikers, likely the first of the season, and rose quickly to his feet. All three beings became confused about what would happen, staring at one another. In this confusion, the moose decided to take initiative and bolt towards the clearing on the other side of the hikers. He passed within an arms reach of the humans who had taken shelter behind some small trees. Upon reaching the clearing, he collapsed to continue his nap (presumably... or he had a heart attack). Peace returned to the valley.
