Most Sustainably Built Trail in the White Mountains

Finished the whole picnic in 5:48:28, missing the FKT by 3 and a half minutes. 4:33:15 for the run portion. I figured I would need to run sub 4:30 to get the FKT, and it looks like I was right. I'm happy with this time considering this was a on-sited Presidential Traverse. The Traverse was very challenging. I expected the main challenge to be the vert, but it was actually the technicality. These trails were sooo technical. Navigation was also tough, but I think with experience on the route and no fog navigation would be much easier. I probably would have been 2 hours slower had I not had the route on my watch. Still ended up missing a turn leaving the Madison hut and had to pull my phone out a couple times for a more detailed map. Had really bad chafing because it was so humid and wet, which I have never had with these shorts. I would like to try to go sub 4 hours on the Traverse someday if I ever get another good chance. 42/67 4000ers
