Day 0: Walking Backwards

Day -1: Seattle to trailhead

Snow made lots of water. Found water just off trail. Breakfast at first pass; windy, undercooked oatmeal. Leapfrog with orchid/AO light like 5 times, Enigma several times. See some new stuff, miss some old stuff - missed magic leaf, SoM meadow/view. Named Jackson skipper, maybe. Meet aussies Matt and Erin. Fairly good attitudes, getting better with carrying water. Views crazy, flowers crazy. Jackson getting knee injury, slowing down. Grant fine, slight twinge around left knee. Get to ranger station, meet some thru hikers. Get wallet!! Fire is NE heading east, all good. Stop early for Jackson leg. Get free campsite, pop, wine contraband! Lots of ramen, couscous with olive oil, chess (Jackson 2/3)
