A seemingly popular conditioning hike with many others on the route despite thunderstorms coming in.  Moved fast to get one last outing in before leaving for home tomorrow.  The “trail” involved some scrambling in places with boulder fields but also some really nice grippy rock slabs.  Stopped and had coffee at a hut along the way and had lunch in a small town hotel restaurant near the trailhead which was quite rustic and felt like authentic French atmosphere although not so much with the menu.  I had fish and chips.  Also checked out a cool looking via ferrata route in a canyon with a waterfall - looked pretty intense.
