Camping in Crabtree is always such a treat. One of the most serene places on earth. Last year I got sick the day before and just sat in the meadow while Lily summited Whitney with Nick and Tim. Walking up Whitney was more or less a breeze. Ran into our PCT friends Fanta and Slackline at the junction with the trail to Whitney portal and chatted with them for a bit. Hung out and ate lunch on the summit (cold soaked mask potatoes and Fritos). Walking down once again reinforced my opinion that anything other than skiing down big mountains is just kind of heinous.

Got back to camp quite early, but suds was cooked so he took a nap while I wrote wedding vows in the meadow. Couldn’t think of a better place to do it.
