Took off on the run, thinking that I got through the self-imposed hard part.  Who needs to feel your legs anyway? 😅

Yeah, it was hot.  I did not replenish my nutrition stash enough and ran out by mile 8. Thank goodness for aid stations, I got something from every one of them (freezie pop guy FTW!) At mile 3 my knee tape gave out and now I was in it, lol.  And the 2 hills we went up were walkers; so glad we didn't bike them, I would  have been in trouble. 😳 The two hills we went down, one being at the finish, were tough too. 

Overall though, I had a really good time, I swear. 😊 Yes, things went wrong, but I didn't sweat it (because I was sweating enough already) and getting to the finish was all that mattered, and I made it, and found ways to enjoy myself. Cheering for others as I went, had a few conversations,  so many great views to enjoy, and the community is always top notch. 

Glad @bethabing talked me into coming and swimming with her many months ago and got me out there this weekend. You did awesome, and took on a beast of a race! 

I'm happy with how I felt and feel now; could it have gone better? Maybe. I learned a lot, and I got through it despite accidental self-sabotage. And I'm always down for a good time, and I'm happy to spend a weekend this way.  😀
